A big thank you for our sponsors wavestreaming and serverroom. Without their help and support I could not have provided this demo stream.

We use creative commons audio.

The scheduler is set to select songs, randomly, from the media catalog with a mix in of 1 seconds and mix out of 1 seconds. However, since all songs have cue points defined, the cue points are used to mix songs.

Jinlges are set at 50 per 100 songs.

Commercials will be scheduled at a later time.

Sponsorships or commercials do not currently cover the 45 second spot allocation.

Our automation engine will fill in the gap with filler audio files (currently only one was programmed in) or random songs if fillers are unavailable.

When the next program starts, commercial spot filler audio will stop playing.

The idea is to have fixed length commercial spots that are synchronized between multiple broadcasts. For example, a radio station broadcasting the same programs in Melbourne and Balarat. For commercial breaks, you would want to maximize your revenue by broadcasting different commercials for each of the regions or broadcasts, while still minimizing labour to do so. All of this is controlled from a single workstation and from a single screen. That's where the fixed commercial spot duration comes in.

I suggest you standardize on commercial or sponsorship lengths; example: 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds and 60 seconds. Do not allow any length commercials to be broadcast.

Please check back soon for a video demonstration of how I setup my demo stream using Broadcast Power 2.5.5.8.

PS: 2.5.5.8 is released to registered users only.
