Besides the web export plug-in feature, a plain ASCII
file export either local or via FTP to a website.
This data can be included in a stream encoder like
"Edcast" as metadata. This provides now playing data to a
Icecast or Shoutcast server and such displays the now playing
information in the listeners players display.
Also: I would like a clear stautus display in which
mode the application is. Either automated scheduler (Program current
running) and/ or not automated que player. If there is no program
active, the application switch to que player without making it clear
in the display. Also nice to know which program is current running
:-)

RE: PlainASCII "now playing"

Hi Ron,

There isn't much to implementing an ASCII now playing file. All you have to do is change the template file. Remove all HTML tags and you're left with an ASCII file.

If you're using my stream encoder program, the now playing is incorporated in it and you do not have to deal with it as an ASCII file.

Although there is no clear status display for the application mode, it is easily discernible from the menu buttons.

I will take this on board and will fix in the next release.

Ditto for the current running program.

Cheers,

Emile
