Drag and Drop
Hello all.
I am trying to import audio material into BP.
I can manually put audio files (mp3) but I cant drag and drop
files into media editor. Has anyone else had this problem or is this
a feature that is no longer available on the newest version of BP?
I am running both BP and SQL under Windows Vista Ultimate.
Thanks

I've got the same problem on Vista. When I drag a couple of *.mp3 files onto the Media Editor screen the mouse pointer changes into the "no available actions" icon: http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/8720/image5m.png
Hi,
I got my hands on a laptop with Vista Ultimate and installed BP2X on it today.
I can confirm that the drag and drop works on Vista.
Here's what I did:
1. Click on "Media Editor" button
2. Open a file explorer and grab a few ".mp3" files
3. Drag them onto BP2X and as you move from the file explorer to the "Media Editor" (the blue area) the mouse pointer changes
4. Drop the files and a dialog box opens prompting you to specify the type of files you are dropping
Cheers,
Emile
Hello Emile.
My mouse pointer does not change at all after hovering over the area.
If it helps any, I am using version 2.5.5.1 under windows vista ultimate.
Thanks for your help

Hi Kilo,
Are you getting an error message when you drop the files on the media editor?
Do you see any mouse pointer changes when you move your mouse from the file explorer to Broadcast Power's window?
Are you dropping the files on the data entry fields or the area surrounding them on the media desk / editor? You should be dropping the files on the area surrounding the data entry fields.
When you move the mouse pointer from the file explorer to the application, make sure you hover over the area surrounding the data entry fields, you shoudl notice the mouse pointer change from an arrow to an arrow with a dotted rectangle and a shortcut icon. This is when you should drop the files. A dialog box should appear to allow you to choose the type of media files you are dropping.
Cheers,
Emile

Where are you getting these *.mp3 files from?
Is it Windows explorer?
Please send a screenshot of the whole desktop not just the icon. It helps to see where you are attempting to drop the mp3 files dragged.
