I just want to set it up on a computer

We have one computer to run this application on plugged right into the transistor I just want to use the program locally on my computer just to set up programming and time it out. Is this possible? my login keeps failing when i run remote player host and tell it to create.

Which version are you trying to install?
Did Microsoft SQL server install successfully and is it running?
What is the error message you are getting? You can find error message in the log files. Just grab the last error message when the database schema creation fails. This error should be located in the file "C:\Program Files\Media Bonza\Broadcast Power\2.5\RPHlog.txt".
If you can't see any error, you can increase the level of logging and try again. Do this by chaning the setting " to " in the file "RemotePlayerHost.exe.log4net". Change it back when done.

Your problem...
The basic message, pointing to your problem is:
Login failed for user 'localhots'
What this message can mean is the following:
1. You are using the wrong username to login to MSSQL server
2. You are using the worng password to login to MSSQL server
Did you change the MSSQL default values when installing Broadcast Power or did you have MSSQL already installed?
What values did you use for MSSQL during the installation?
Here's what you can try to do, to confirm if your settings are correct and match those on MSSQL:
1. Try "osql"
Example: osql -U sa -P password -S 127.0.0.1\sql1
If you are unsure on what values to use or replace for the command above, please send me in an email the file RemotePlayerHost.exe.config. My email address is: admin (+a+ t ) bp2x.com
2. uninstall bp2x, unintsall SQL server, and reinstall bp2x version 2.5.5.1 with all options selected and leave the default settings and then give it a try.
Make sure that when you uninstall MSSQL you delete the directory where it was installed. Example: “C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server”.
